The cross-cultural Wedding between Chinese and The Western! Liam and Yee Chieh’s wedding is one of the many exciting wedding that we shot. Firstly it’s the cross-sharing of culture that we witnessed, where we can see friend’s and families are fascinated and are learning each other’s culture. Secondly, cross-culture weddings are the most challenging wedding that a Wedding Photographer can cover. Most of the time it consists of two cultural ceremonies; squeezed into one day!
It gets even more challenging when we are required to produce a Same Day Edit Slideshow on cross-cultural weddings! Time is usually so limited and we have to work extremely fast and extremely precise. Liam and Yee Chieh’s wedding was no exception! We started off their wedding with the traditional Chinese Gate-Crashing ceremony, where the Groom and his Groomsmen has to go through several ‘challenges’ in order to ‘fetch’ the Love of his life! So much laughters were shared during the entire gate crashing ceremony and it was especially funny to see Westerners stripping down and being such a great sport just to respect the Chinese gate crashing tradition!
After Liam had successfully ‘retrieved’ the Yee Chieh, they proceeded to the grand Rasa Sayang Resort Penang and had their vows exchanged there. It was an extremely hot and humid day but that didn’t stop Liam and Yee Chieh from tying their knots!
After their vow exchange, their friends and families were treated for a feast at the grand ballroom. What a perfect way to end their beautiful wedding! Their night ended with all of their guests dancing through the ballroom, having so much fun! Thanks Liam and Yee Chieh for having us as your Wedding Photographer and entrusting your wedding moments to us!
